Salamander and Griffon human sketch

Holy Jesus it's been so long since I've really drawn humans that I've reverted to the skill level I was at in high school. I suck at them now. So yeah, drew the red dragon and brown gryphon as their human selves for once. A little while ago I played with the idea of giving Griffon a large scar over his face and I really liked the idea. Small one on the neck as well, neither have a story. Also, Sala has a scar on his lip cuz he gets in fights.

I fought with the lines and proportions for a long time over seemingly ever part of the drawing process. I set this file aside for a month or so and just now came back and reworked some stuff. Happier than I was when I first did the lines, but I still feel like I could do better if they weren't humans. I guess it was a nice change, and I barely have any non-animal art of these two anyway.




There was no way in hell I was gonna shade this.
